Top 3 Travel Bucket List | Competition

I am suffering from severe wanderlust at the moment, and I won't be able to satisfy that until the end of August - gah.

I love, love, love travelling, but I haven't had the opportunity to do much exploring yet. So I thought I would share with you my top 3 places I would like to visit and explore!

1. Tokyo, Japan
Everything about Tokyo entices me. I love Japanese culture, and I am a big fan of Anime. I've watched so many vlogs on YouTube where people visit Tokyo, and I am dying to go. I want to see the differences in cultures, experience some of the crazy attractions, taste the food, and visit the Ghibli museum. I will go there in the next few years.

2. South Africa
I've always wanted to visit anywhere in South Africa, but Ben Brown on YouTube is really fuelling this. I really want to visit Cape Town - it has amazing beaches, and loads of really good coffee shops by the looks of things. But I also want to see all the wildlife, and visit Kruger National Park. Going on safari is on my lifetime bucket list, so I really want to tick that off. I also would loooove to visit the Cango Caves, where you can do an adventure tour!

3. Siem Reap, Cambodia
Siem Reap is home to the ruins of the Angkor temples, which literally scream exploration. It also is so close to the main parts of Cambodia which are the best places to go travelling. Typical backpacking destination, but it looks incredible!

Do you want to go travelling? Or maybe you have a bad case of wanderlust just like me.

Well I may have the answer for you....you can enter this competition by Transun to win a trip for you and one person to see the Northern Lights.

All you have to do is write your top 3 places you want to visit and tweet them @Transun with #TransunLights to be in with a chance of winning this amazing trip!

The Tea Monologues | Part 1

Well. Where do I start?

You know, it took me over an hour to decide on what to call this post. To be perfectly frank, I can see myself changing it yet again before I am happy with it.

I feel like it has been a while since I have let my guard down on my blog. I've been so caught up in university work that I have forgotten to leave time for my mind.

It's been one of those times. The ones where you don't really want to talk to anyone, but you feel like you might explode if you don't. Know those feelings?

I recently invested in a "Line a Day Diary". A five year journal giving me approximately 20 words (handwriting size dependent) on how my day has been, what I have been feeling, what I have been doing. Not so surprisingly the word "procrastination", or forms of it, seem to scatter the last...26 pages.

I really need to work on my procrastination.

Yes, I have a Frozen Starbucks mug. Don't judge me. No, it is not coffee (for once), but tea. Hence the title. Get it? Ayyyyy.

Right now I am feeling a bit shit. As I look over to my wall and see my planner hanging there, all smug with its complete fullness of dates, meetings, deadlines, and placement days. I am starting to realise how busy I am going to be. There are little dots scattered, annoyingly very close together, showing me when I should be doing things. It is now I have discovered that I have only 1 free day a week. A Saturday. Of which will be spent in bed, not moving, and probably snoring.

So I have a little under four months left at university. Four months. Shit.

I am starting to enter that little pre-existential crisis phase again. I am feeling very anxious, permanently a little sick, and very jittery.

It is dawning on me that this time in a year, or even 6 months, I could be anywhere doing anything.

But what I will be doing is bugging me.

There is a little voice in my head telling me to put myself out there, apply for everything. Then there is the louder, more strong voice reminding me of how scared of rejection and failure I am.

I found myself putting together a (not so) little Travel Bucket List, seemingly out of comfort - or procrastination, depending on how you choose to look at it. Do I want to travel? Yes. Can I afford to travel? No. Dammit, student loan.

Maybe I will wait a little longer to decide on my fate for the next few years.

I have been finding comfort, and possibly slight procrastination and admiration, in Will Darbyshire's YouTube Channel (of which I have linked, take a look). It appears we think in a similar manner; he just has the confidence to film his thoughts, whereas I babble on here.

This leads me to you. How are you? What have you been doing? Looking very lovely today!

Tell me, what is your main goal in life?

The price of travel?

ITV2 has recently announced a new TV show in which Tom Daley goes backpacking around the world. Now, don't get me wrong, I do love Tom and it is likely I will end up watching the TV show, but I am a bit peeved about this concept.

What bugs me about it mainly is that these celebrities already have a significant amount of money behind them from previous things they have done, yet they are being paid by TV stations, in this case ITV2, to do something that many people have to save years for.

This is something that has really ruffled my feathers recently because travelling is something that I really want to do after I graduate next year, but after a massive reality check I realised that there is pretty much no way in hell that I will be able to afford to do this until a few years after graduation. Some of you may think that I should be patient and stop complaining, but as someone who will come out of university with debt exceeding £50,000 and a degree that I probably won't be able to start a profession in for many years due to budget cuts in the Ministry of Justice, I want to get as much life experiences under my belt as possible before I have the opportunity to settle in to a full-time job.

Travelling is something that many people tend to do on a gap year, or normally when they are a little older further on in life. However, due to the shit nature of the industry I want to work in, there is a possibility I can get a job straight from university or I could go back to working in a cafe and have a grueling few years job hunting. Travelling offers life experience and the opportunity to see the world that is otherwise almost impossible to get - and travelling is something of a bit of a passion for me, and I love nothing more than seeing new places.

Don't get me wrong, the program will probably be a good watch and I will watch it to see the places they visit. The trailer for the program shows Tom and his friend experiencing many adrenaline-fueled activities including bungee jumping, skydiving, off-roading, camel riding and many more activities that the average person would have to pay hundreds of pounds for to be able to enjoy. They also get the cultural side of travelling, with something different in each country. The ITV2 website states that it isn't all "VIP packages and hotels" and that they "rough it backpacker style" - what is wrong with that?! I would absolutely love to do that, and definitely wouldn't call it 'roughing it', it's all part of the experience and would be incredible!

The show sees them go to 6 countries over six weeks including Japan, Australia, Thailand, Morocco and New Zealand - which happen to be some of the most expensive places to visit. It costs on average approximately anything around £10,000 to travel similarly to what they have done in this program. It will take me around 5 years to save up to be able to achieve that sort of level of travelling, and I would also like to travel Europe on top of this.

What I don't understand is why ITV2, or any other television company, doesn't pay a normal bunch of friends to go travelling and experience these activities and opportunities. It would be an authentic reaction and probably pretty good viewing on television, and would provide that group with an experience they could probably only dream of. Or even allocate a budget to the group and follow them as they plan, book, and embark on their own journey, without the interference of anyone else. This would definitely be something I would watch, and could turn in to something that inspires many people to go travelling!

I am definitely volunteering myself and my friends for this if anyone wants to take up my proposition!

I am expecting a significant amount of backlash from this where people are saying I am ungrateful, or that I should have done a different degree, or not gone to university at all if I want to do all these things. I went to university to better myself as a person - it has significantly changed me for the better, and I went to hopefully get myself a better career in a few years time than just being stuck in waitressing all my life. Travelling is something that has always been on the agenda for me, and I didn't take a gap year because of the sheer fact I knew I wouldn't then go to university and I would regret it for the rest of my life. The opportunity to travel will probably be very small, or I won't get to do it at all, but it is my goal whether it takes me 5 months or 5 years to save for.

So this is my rant over, for any of you wishing to watch Tom Daley Goes Global it starts Thursday April 10 at 9pm on ITV2.

As always thank you for reading, don't forget to follow me on all my social media over on the right, and I will see you next time!

Amsterdam diary

It has been an extremely long time since I have blogged hasn't it? Well I have been one very busy bee! I had 5 essays due in at uni, and then I disappeared off to Amsterdam for the weekend. So...I am going to tell you all about it and fill you in on my little adventure.

WARNING: may contain some explicit images

The weekend started off slightly less excitingly than the rest of the time we were there. We left Plymouth for a grueling 6 odd hour drive down to Dover to catch the ferry to Calais, France. Naturally, the best way to keep ourselves occupied was to watch a few films and chat about life. It took me a good half an hour to form a hammock using a scarf and the handles on our seats to rest my iPod in to watch the film on....then after I had gone to all that effort, the reps actually put a film on the TV. Time wasted.

After a while we finally got to Calais. At this point it is 2am and all we want to do is sleep. But we decided to go out on the deck of the ship and pretend we were on the Titanic. Standard. Our boat looked like this:

We finally got in to Amsterdam at around 9.30am - major relief! Took bloody long enough. We dumped our bags and went straight out to do some exploring.

I have to say, it is such a pretty place. It's full of canals, and everything is really tall. However, I have to say one thing: DEATH BY BIKES. Apparently there are more bikes in Amsterdam than people.....mental.

Typically, we headed straight on over the the Sexmuseum - had to be done as soon as we saw that it existed! Safe to say it was one of the funniest experiences of my life! It was just all innuendos and dicks EVERYWHERE. You definitely have to go if you're ever around that area.

We then headed over to the main square for a little look around to see what was about. I can't quite remember what this lovely building is to the left, but it looks pretty so I took a picture. There was all sorts in the square including Madame Tussaud's, and a shit ton of bars (which we went to on night number 2 on a bar crawl!).

We also stumbled across this gorgeous hot chocolate shop which had the most amazing hot chocolate you have ever seen in your entire life (as you can see by the picture). We went back a few times over the entire weekend. It wasn't to badly priced either really, about 3 which is pretty cheap for Amsterdam.

It was about that time of day where we thought it would be a great idea to be serious tourists and get one of those boat cruise things down throughout the entire city so that we could see everything without having to move much. It was quite good, actually. Saw loads of sites, including this building here which looks like something out of a movie. If I remember rightly it is some form of educational center about boats and shit.

Didn't get a chance to go in the Heineken brewery thing, but we are heading back in the summer for even longer so this is a definite must-do for us. I actually drank a hell of a lot of Heineken when we were out there. It is one of the cheaper drinks - a pint costs around 3-4 whilst a single vodka is around 7 so you can see why I drank that now!

We treated ourselves that night to dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe which was so lush. It did cost me about 20 which was madness (could have been spent on shots) but thought why not? Ended up having a beautiful cheeseburger which was huge and could have easily been two meals, but I am a fatty and ate the lot.

Here is a casual horse drawn carriage for you.

That night we went out in town (just outside the Red Light District) and got a teeny bit drunk (quite drunk). Vikki and I ended up getting lost on the way home and bumped in to two girls who were on our trip who we are actually now really good friends with and planning on going back to Amsterdam with them in the summer - woo getting lost!

The next day we decided to book tickets to go to the Xtra Cold Ice Bar, which is apparently the coldest in the world at -10 degrees. I have been dying to go to the one in London, so was so happy when everyone agreed to go to this one. We paid around 15 because we booked it with the boat trip we did. You get two free drinks per person when you get inside the ice bar which is awesome. I think there was the choice between Sourz shots, non-alcoholic juice, or Heineken - naturally Heineken was the answer. It's really awesome because everything is made out of ice. The seats were ice, and the glasses we drank out of were made of pure ice - was good because it meant the drinks were permanently cold. Unfortunately you aren't allowed to take pictures in there so the only two I have are the two below - sorry!

Here is mine and Vikki's faces for shiggles.

That night we went on a massive bar crawl organised by the reps. It was beyond mental - apparently we went to 6 bars (I don't remember all of them). We got a free drink in each bar, and were constantly being supplied with shots. So it is safe to say we got a teeny bit drunk. Shockingly, we didn't get lost that night and safely made it back to the hotel to await the morning hangover and the 16 hour journey home.

As predicted we were all very hungover the next day, and dreaded the journey home. It was made better by the fact that we spent most of it chatting away and singing songs from Pitch Perfect. We also stopped by a Belgian chocolate factory which made everything just that little bit better. It was really choppy on the ferry back, but the sun was setting and I managed to take this gorgeous picture of the sea and the sun (I am very proud of it, shhh).

So without all the embarrassing stories and cringey drunk pictures, that was my weekend away in Amsterdam!

I know this is a really short (ish) post, and I promise I will get back to my normal posting schedule in the next few days.

I hope you enjoyed this post, if you did please do subscribe - it would be awesome. All my social media links are on the right so get following!

As always, thank you for reading and I will see you all again next time!

Please drink responsibly.

Ramblings of a Rambler

Hello there, buddies.

Well I was unsure at first as to whether I was actually going to post anything today for a start because my mind has been completely blank for the last few days apart from my "inappropriate life rant part two" post (which you can read by clicking back there).

So I thought I would just ramble on about general things that come in to my mind as I type....This will probably turn in to a rambly rant....Yup, new word. *adds to laptop dictionary*

I don't think I have a good sense of humour at the moment (sorry) so I am unsure what turn this might take. For all we know I could be going on about something I saw on Tumblr....Now I have written the word "Tumblr" I think I am going to kick this off with talking about fanfiction.

For all of you who are avid Tumblr users like myself, you will probably have stumbled across fanfic at some point. For all of your who have never stumbled across it, keep your sanity! I have read so much shit that is just so....disturbing is the only word I can think of...yet I can never seem to stop reading...Fanfic, why you do this to me?! There are various different types of fanfic on Tumblr, and you may have read them about the central person in your fandom (mine being Danisnotonfire and Amazingphil). Yet no matter which fanfic you read, the main subject seems to involve sex. No lie, 90% of Tumblr is sex or porn. Now I am slightly worried as I know various people on my Facebook read my blog and are probably like "holy shit, what kind of fucked up person do I know?!". I assure you, my Tumblr is used mainly for stalking YouTubers, and not for stalking porn. Anyways, I have read some fucked up shit about Dan and Phil (aka "Phan") like OMG you would not believe. The best bit is that I think the majority of Dan and Phil's fanbase are like 13 year old girls. I am not sure whether to be disturbed that they are writing about this sort of thing, or admire the fact they have some crazy imaginations and the patience to write a 36 chapter fic....The mind boggles.

As a bit of a side note....the government needs to find a way of making the price of petrol considerably cheaper.

As I am writing this, I am staring at a wall in my room full of so much random shit it is unreal. I have my You Me At Six posters, a gorgeous post of Tom Daley, my Duke of Edinburgh award, my Welsh flag, a mass of autographs and my world map that I drew a while back...so I am going to talk a little bit about these for a while. Hope you don't mind.

So You Me At Six have been a band I like for a few years now, and if you haven't listened to their music you best go do it now. Listen to the album "Sinners Never Sleep" which is their most recent one. Track one is the best, along with "Bite My Tongue" (such a good song). Josh Franceschi should marry me for that shit. I have been lucky enough to see them twice so far. I saw them once up in Birmingham like 2 years ago where they did an album signing and then a live set which was a bit of a pleasant surprise because we didn't know they were doing that. So I have a signed album stuck up on my wall! Then again at one of the Olympic Torch things in Cardiff where Kids in Glass Houses and Emeli Sande perfomed, too. So I have loooooved that. But go to YouTube and search for them - they are awesome.
You Me At Six - I would post a picture of my album but I can't find the picture I took and my internet is too slow for me to upload a new one.

Not sure I need to say much about Tom Daley. He is just sex on legs. He also lives in Plymouth like me, so I have had the pleasure of bumping in to him on several occasions. I will put a pic below so you can see. I bump in to him quite a bit on nights out, and have met his mum once (totally in there now, you see). He is such a lovely guy, and didn't mind having his picture taken with me despite being out with his friends and being surrounded by screaming girls (I was not one of them!). He also has a nice bum.
The gorgeous Tom and I. This was taken in Oceana in Plymouth back in September last year, so I no longer look this awful!

Erm, not much to say about my DofE award apart from the fact that I did a lot of work for it, and went camping (ergh) and also discovered I am really badly allergic to ant bites. So that was a lot of fun.

Ah, my wall of autographs. Now I bet you are thinking that I have a load of celebrity autographs on my wall. Well I don't. I think I have like 4 well known celebrity autographs. Those are Tom's, Nicola from Girls Aloud, Julian Clary (I know his dad) and I have another one but I can't think who it is....The rest are Disney characters. I shit you not....Well that and characters I spotted around Universal Studios. As you can tell, I am a child at heart. Before you ask, yes I have Mickey Mouse's autograph.

Ermmmmm, ah yes, map. So as you know I am hoping to travel the world after university. Then I got all depressed because it will cost like £10 000 which sucks. But now I have a considerably better and well-paid job that I can come back to during the summer, so travelling has become an option again! So you can imagine I am a happy bunny. Although travelling the world is still off the menu for now, I can afford to travel Australia for about 4 or so months, which is so awesome! So if you live in Australia write in the comments where you think I need to go! Also, maybe I can meet some of you guys?

This (sort of) brings me on to YouTube...as you all know, I love YouTube, and I have been saying for ages that I will sort my channel out properly. Well I have good news! I am going to start shooting my videos in September (ish)! So hopefully I will turn some of these posts in to videos, and do some of the typical YouTube challenges, too. So let me know in the comments what sort of things you want me to do! I would do an "Ask Lovely Chubly" but I am not popular enough to do that *sniff sniff*. I have also roped some of my housemates in to do some videos, too, so you will finally get to meet them properly!

Also, Vikki is currently like half way through her holiday over in Italy where she is staying with her family, so I am feeling abandoned at the moment. I am sending her (almost) daily updates with all the YouTube links in them so she never misses out! I am such a good friend.

I have also managed to get more Pepsi Max in my system, so hopefully I will get myself back to normal soon. I was starting to go a bit funny without it. Stupid addiction.

Finally, I am going to be back in Plymouth on September 10 so I will be back to posting daily! You will also get to hear about all the crazy and stupid things I do in Freshers week. Yes, I am making sure I am back in time to go mental with the Freshers again! Prepare for me to be making a fool out of myself on a daily basis considering last Freshers and first term I think I ended up painting myself about 5 different colours....Anything for a good night out, eh? Also, if you want more posts about my university life then do let me know because I am not sure whether it is something you want to read about.

Long story short, I am looking forward to being back with my Plym-fam as they are called; I am missing them lots. They keep me sane (ish). So I am counting down seconds now until I am back there! I have even arranged my first night out (September 10) with Louise where I will get my typical dose of Nandos goodness! Stop shaking your head at me, you know how much I love Nandos. (Nandos, if you are reading this - free food?! :D )

I am also trying to think of a name for all of you lovely readers as most bloggers have a name for them. Someone suggested "Chubblies" but I think that sounds a bit harsh....comment below some suggestions if you have any.

So that is my post for today...I am not sure what to make of it to be perfectly honest with you. But you already know what my brain is like.

If you enjoyed this post don't forget to click "Join This Site" over on the top left for more posts by me!

That is all for now, peeps.

I can show you the world

Hello there, buddies.

If you didn't sing that to the song from Aladdin we can no longer be friends....I am kidding....Much love.

I am not sure of the direction that this post is taking....this literally could go anywhere. It could turn in to one of my typical rants, a random post telling you of my failed attempts at doing maths, or we could really go off on a tangent and start talking about purple flying pigs with unicorn horns....I don't know.

Well you all know how much I am dying to do some travelling after my 3 years at university. With my little bunch of friends, we planned out an entire list of about 200 places we wanted to visit. We got all excited and whatnot for it when we realised the only way that it would be possible in anything less than 50 years would be if we all won the lottery. Which deeply saddens me as it won't happen. So we brainstormed a few other ideas. Travelling is something the 5 of us are all seriously wanting to do as none of us took a gap year between sixth

We then went on to plan a 2 week holiday (vacation) to Florida to stay in Disney World as we thought it would be considerably cheaper and more affordable. So we figured it all out and we would all be able to afford it by July 2015. So we got planning and got our dates settled, a quote for a rough price and we got saving. I even made a chart with over 2000 squares on that I could colour in for every pound I saved. Now, the only way we would afford to go to Florida was with Thomas Cook as they are considerably cheaper than the likes of Virgin. When I fly to Florida with my family we go with Thomas Cook - we used to go with Virgin Atlantic but it is far more expensive now. Thomas Cook have since decided that they are no longer flying out of Gatwick airport to go to Florida and the only places they are now going from is Manchester and Glasgow. This I found really fucking irritating due to the fact that most of us live within a close proximity of London (I can be in London in just over 1 hour 15 minutes) so it would be cheap for us to get there. Since Thomas Cook have decided to stop flying from there, our prices would have sky-rocketed another couple of hundreds of pounds to get to the other airports to fly out. Long story short, we have abandoned those plans.

We then re-evaluated and thought that we might be able to do a bit of backpacking and travelling around Australia. Now I can imagine that you are raising your eyebrows at me as Australia is considerably more expensive than Florida. Well shockingly, you are wrong. We did the maths and travelling around Australia for 6 weeks was a bit cheaper than going to Florida for 2 weeks. So we got planning for that also. Now this was a solid plan up until about 5 days ago when we sat down and had a serious chat. We decided that whilst travelling around Australia was affordable, it was not realistic for a bunch of recent graduates with 3 years worth of debt behind them. It turns out we would need about 6 months to do all the stuff we wanted to do. We thought that we could narrow down our list of places we wanted to visit and cut out some of the experiences so that we could do it in two months, but it just wasn't happening as there is so much to do. Basically we have had to completely scrap that idea, too.

Several different conversations followed this shitty realisation. We considered buying an old truck/van/camper van and go on a road trip through America. This turned out too expensive.

Then we thought about literally slumming-it through anywhere abroad including Thailand, Australia and China, but we thought that it might be too dangerous. This is all turning out to be a bit of a bit let down, really. I am still genuinely considering giving up on the idea that I will go travelling until literally I am 50. You may think this is an exaggeration, but believe me, it is not. Especially since I struggled to even get a job this summer, which I am starting like two months late so I will get only four weeks worth of work - and it is casual hours so I might not even get any - despite this, I am extremely grateful for this job as it might have just saved my ass a little bit (a lot). But I am having to start to reign in my exceedingly high expectations of travelling *sob sob*.

So after it all got a bit doom and gloom, we then thought of something a little closer to home....why don't we look in to travelling around parts of Europe? So after some extensive research, we came across the fact that we can get a rail pass for some funky train that goes round the whole of Europe - how awesome?! Turns out it is only like £350 ish for a months unlimited pass, which is pretty cheap. So I made a list of all the countries and cities we want to visit and sort of complied them into a route (which is really awful, by the way...). I have since found a website that does it for me...but it keeps fucking up which is irritating me. So now we are doing a bit of maths (gah) to figure out how much money will have to be saved to travel. Hopefully it won't be too much as my loan is just getting smaller and smaller :( So you never know, you could be reading all about my awesome travels in a couple of years. So all keep your fingers crossed for me. Damn you, government, for lying about tuition fees. Fuckers.

On a slight side note, yet still weirdly related to this post, have you heard that Tom Daley and his friend Sophie are travelling the world with ITV for what I am guessing is free......?!!?! So apparently you now have to be a medal holding Olympic diver to travel the world. I am slightly annoyed at this to be perfectly honest. Sorry, Tom, you know I love you really. It takes normal people like me years to save for travelling, but some people get handed it. Seriously, ITV, you could have had an awesome bunch of desperate students travelling where you would get proper stuff from. Gah. Rage. I think ITV should pay me and my friends to travel the world. That would be nice.

Hey, Richard Branson, if we traveled by Virgin planes the whole time would you sponsor us to travel and do a documentary on it? Plus crazy promos on my blog? I wonder if he ever would read this. No. No he would not. Was worth a shot though.

I do think that there aren't many options available for students to go travelling after uni. Yes, there are various gap year companies which offer these opportunities, but they seem to be aimed towards people who have had the chance to earn a fair amount of money as I think that they are still slightly expensive...that might just be me, though. I'd like to see more graduate travelling opportunities. I mean, we have spent 3 or so years studying our asses off to get a degree, so I would like a bit of a break to get some experiences under my belt, you know? I have a feeling that I am going to get a lot of negative comments on this about my money situation/people telling me to get a job. So before you post something like that read this: I applied to over 60 places for a job. I had 3 replies from them. One company, which I shall not name, turned me down after an interview as I was a student. This is so unfair!!! I will be spending my first few days back down in Plymouth looking for a job for the next two years, so if you know of any then let me know. Getting a job is hard; there aren't many of them about. So please do not tell me I am not doing enough because that is bullshit and I do not take kindly to those comments.

What are your thoughts on the options available for students to go travelling after graduation?

Anyways, I think I should stop writing because no one wants to read my annoying thing about the poor student who has no money.

There are plenty more posts like this in the pipeline, and some awesome original work from yours truly, so click "Join This Site" to see them before anyone else gets to!

I am also starting to take suggestions for things you would like to hear me rant about, so chuck them my way by any way you want and I will rant and rave about them!

Toodle-oo peeps!

Annoying types of airport people

Hello there, buddies.

Well I have not gone off on a major rant in a very long time so I thought why not best to do one whilst there is thunder and lightning all about!

As it is fast approaching August and most of the schools have broken up for summer, a lot of people are probably going to be venturing on holiday - vacation to my lovely American readers - so I thought to myself "why not do a post about airports?"

Don't get me wrong, I ABSOLUTELY love flying and going on holiday and everything, but there are just some people in the airport and around that area that really ruffle my feathers. If you have recently been on holiday then you will probably know exactly what I am talking about.

This post if going to take the format of a "The one who..." sort of list style thingy otherwise I might bore you with my overly long rants as usual.

If you experience any of the things that I mention then do tell me all about it in the comments section below, or tweet me @LovelyChubly #AirportAnnoyance and I will be sure to reply to you!

The one who always forgets they have metal on them
You know there is always that one person who forgets that they have money in their pockets, or a belt on or something? Then they go through the metal detector thingy like they haven't got a care in the world. You watch them look so confused when they set it off then the security is all like "have you got anything in your pockets" and they reach in and pull out like a whole bank full of coins? How can you not remember you have that in there?! It tells you SO MANY TIMES as you are walking up to check your pockets etc....are you just stupid or do you think that they will be like "oh it is ok, go through" NO. Then they hold everyone up as they have to put their money through the scanner thing, then walk through again. What makes it even worse is I have seen someone do this, then realise they have a belt on.... I am sat there like "akjkajsdksjfs IDIOT" waiting to go through as it is 4am and I want a coffee. Please remember that you are likely to have something in your pockets. Just check, for heaven's sake.

The one who's luggage is over the allowance
I have had the pleasure (biggest dose of sarcasm in the world) of being stuck behind a guy like this. When you fly long haul, for all you non-flyers out there, you get around 20-25kg of luggage allowance to go on the plane, and 5kg of hand luggage. In this particular circumstance, the man was part of a family who were on their way to Disney World in Florida (like myself at the time). Now, I am not sure what he had in his luggage...I am a girl who likes to wear clothes (shocker) but I am not sure how many pairs of shorts, t-shirts and flip flops you need for your two week holiday, buddy, but how they managed to come to 30kg is beyond me. The best part is that his wife was just facepalming the entire time like "OMG, what is he doing?". He then continued to tell the check-in assistant that the scales were broken as his suitcase only weighed 20kg....Give up, pal.

The one who is late
There is always one. Every time. The one person who holds up the plane because they are too busy buying overpriced stuff in the departure lounge. They must hear the final announcement for the plane "this is the final call for flight TCM38472 to Sanford, all passengers please make their way to the gate. This is the final boarding call" (I should definitely work in the airport) and just be like "the plane won't go without us...lets carry on shopping". Well, buddy, I am afraid this is not true. I watched as your suitcases got hauled off the plane when you were 15 minutes late. Karma.

The one who forgets their passport
I shit you not, I have seen this happen so many times. On the way to Canada with some friends there was a guy in front who all of a sudden stopped dead at the check in desk and was patting himself down. Never have I seen someone in so much distress! Then he got all panicked and was like "OMG. I have forgotten my passport". I don't know about you, but if I am going on holiday or anywhere that requires ID to prove my nationality I usually check that I have my passport as I leave the house. Then when I get in the car. Then when I leave my street. I mean, I am not even going anywhere yet I just checked to see if it was still in the same place. So how on earth can he have forgotten it? Get yourself organised!

The ones on a group holiday
Now this may be a slightly biased thing considering I have never done that "woo lets go get drunk in Malia" sort of holiday because I have always been working or cannot afford it. So it really bugs me when you go to airports and you see these drunken teenagers at like 5am in the departure lounge drinking pints of beer wearing their matching nickname tops. Now it is all well and good if they aren't screaming the place down with their drunken chants, but as soon as they do it I am like "get off the planet". I am a terrible human being.

The one who doesn't know where they are going
There is always one person who is constantly referring to their tickets or boarding pass who then stops dead in their steps when they are walking, causing you to bump in to them. Sound familiar? If not then you are probably this person. The worst thing is, they don't usually apologise or anything, it is usually the opposite and they get all shitty at you for not watching where you are going. I am like "I was watching where I am going, but I did not expect to walk in to a human fucking statue any time soon!". Please tell me this happens to any of you, otherwise I am just clearly the worst person ever.

The one who picks up your suitcase on the luggage claim belt
Admittedly this is by pure accident half the time, and I do get that. But what I really hate is when people push past you, grab the nearest bag they can and examine it within an inch of its life. Surely you don't have to pick it up to look at it? God knows. I am lucky that I have bright lilac suitcase that no one ever wants to pick up so I am usually safe from this!

The one whose hand luggage is too big
Even after going through bloody check it and customs and whatnot, they get on the plane and their hand luggage doesn't fit. Are you seriously telling me that you went through ALL of that and didn't stop to think that your suitcase worth of hand luggage might not fit in that small space used for overhead luggage? Duh.... Then they get on the plane and they hold everyone else up just because they are trying to shove their bag in to the space at any angle they can. Just give up and bring a smaller bag next time? I mean what have you got in there?

The one who sits in the wrong seat
There is always one person on the plane who gets the wrong seat. But this person will then not move or get out their ticket to check that they are sat in the right or wrong place. The worst bit is when you have your ticket in your hand with your seat on it, but they refuse to move still. Gah do people never think that if they can see that you have your seat number that they are in the complete wrong place? We all want to get to the same place, so can we please just get up and move so we can get going?

The one who stands in the middle of the moving walkway
You know what thing I am on about right? The one that leads you do and from the departure gates that just make you move faster? And they are waaaay more fun! There are general rules that apply to these moving walkways. For instance the fact that you stand on the right (like London tubes). Now, you get those really freaking irritating people who think they are God and just stand smack bang in the middle of the walkway. Now I know you are like "well why don't you walk?" well guys, those moving walkway things are part of my holiday. So eff off with your standing in the middle and let me through!

The ones who cannot control their children
These types of people are so beyond common in airports. They mainly get all crazy when you get on the plane rather than when you are in the actual airport. I go on more of a rant about that on my "I hate public transport" post which you can see here. But then when you are doing the average browsing of the duty free, or just sat down having food or a drink, you really do not want to have kids running a fucking riot around you? I have had one knock over my drink and the parents just stood there and laughed....what the fuck, dude?! Control your kids!

The one who rushes off the plane
There is one every single time who has to be the first person off the plane. If they aren't it is as if all hell has been let loose and it is the end of the world. What is the rush, dude?! You aren't going to get anywhere any faster than the rest of us. Remember that thing you checked in before you got on the plane? Yeah that thing called a suitcase? Well they all come off at once, and chances are yours is right at the end. So stop your fucking panicking and pushing and just chill! You're on holiday!

The one who never has all their documents ready
I guarantee you that this is the same person who rushed off the plane. This I have seen happen more in American where you wait for a long time in order to get to customs, but there are always people who never have all their documentation ready. This really ruffles my feathers too because it holds everyone up. For any of you lovely people who have not been to America since 9/11 then you won't know how security works over there. But you need your documents out ready and there are always people who don't. Seriously, there is all that time to get your shit together. What do you do? Stand there and daydream?

The one who complains all the time
There is always that one person, or group of people, who just constantly complain about everything. Like from the fact there is a tiny queue at check in, to the movies they show in-flight. I mean, seriously, how sad do you have to be to complain like that to that extent? I have heard someone complain about the fact that the flight was 10 hours long instead of 9 hours 40. I get that you want to get off the plane, but we are all feeling the same! There is no need to voice your opinion to the entire plane....

Well then, peeps, I am going to leave it there because I think this might go a teeny bit crazy!

If I took over the world

Hello there, buddies.

So I recently came to the conclusion that I worry too much about ridiculous things, so I thought I could put all these worries in to one massive world domination post....don't judge me.

I started to think about things that I would do if I took over the world, and things that I would get rid of, introduce and whatnot. Expect some crazy things to happen if I took over the world, but there are some more serious things chucked in here because we don't want the world to fall apart, do we?

So first of all, and probably most importantly I would most definitely make universities offer a degree in Disney! Mainly because I would pass with the highest first in the entire world. Can you imagine a better and more fun degree to study? It could be all like the history of Disney, Disney in application, the future of Disney. OK, I am getting far too in to this. Maybe I should propose the idea to like the university board of education? Is that even a thing? Comment below if you would study a degree in Disney.

Then I would make it completely socially acceptable for people to spend hours on the internet. Considering I have only had the internet for like not even 10 years yet, it is a relatively new development in the world so is not widely accepted with every person. So by the time that I get to take over the world, maybe it would be more acceptable?

Having had my car for a few years now, I am starting to realise how bloody damn expensive it is to run a car and make it road legal etc. So I would make petrol (somehow) cheaper and have the likes of insurance and tax cheaper because I know it is all very expensive for some people. Mine was bad enough, all coming in at £1000 for the year. Not to even mention the fortune I paid for driving lessons after having to switch due to getting ripped off and taught badly by one company. Luckily I passed both my theory and practical test first time, but they come in together at £130 ish, which is very expensive.

As a MAJOR rugby fan, I would make it a more popular sport. I know you're all thinking, ah it already is popular, but the difference in popularity between football and rugby is huuuuuge. So making rugby more popular would be awesome. Then I could meet all the Wales rugby team and make one fall hopelessly in love with me....yep sounds like a good plan.

I would make internet free. It isn't overly expensive now, but it should be free! I mean, we all use it don't we?

As the unfortunate student who has the joys of paying £9000 plus rent to be at university a year, I would reverse the STUPID idea to raise university fees and lower them again. I'd also want to give more options for students who are less fortunate than the likes of you or I so they could go to university also.

I would also ask to get paid to blog. I do love my blog a lot (as you can probably tell) and I put more work in to doing this and making it awesome for you guys, that I would just love to get paid for it. Maybe one day my blog will get published? Who knows? Then that means I would want to get any person who has a blog a little bit of recognition as there are so many awesome bloggers out there who are undiscovered.

I am a little bit of an anime fan, so I would introduce anime to EVERYONE. People miss out on it because they just don't get introduced to it.

Then (as a bit of a selfish move) I would befriend YouTuber's which would be soooo cool. Especially the ones who I watch now. Do have a little bit of a soft spot for Joe Sugg (you can search his channel ThatcherJoe on YouTube). Deary me.

Then I would have to lower house prices and mortgages because I know that I will be renting for a very long time before I will even be able to think about buying my own flat. This makes me sad because I would love to have my own house, but I know it is just going to be impossible for at least 10 years yet. Maybe this could help a lot more people become more independent?

On a serious note, I would offer education to every single person. Whether they choose to accept it is up to them, but I think an education is the best thing you can ever offer anyone. It would then give everyone else such a better outlook on life and allow them to go further.

I'd also make benefits stricter because there are so many people who just live off of them and don't bother to get a job. I understand that there are circumstances where a person has no choice, but in the circumstances where they do have the option to find work I think that they shouldn't be allowed to live off our money. Obviously child benefits would be kept along with disability benefits etc.

Then I would obviously be able to control the weather (duh) so I would make it warm and sunny everywhere always. Obviously not too hot because we don't want all the water drying up and crops dying and shit, do we? But would be nice to have some nicer weather everywhere for once!

To fuel my addiction to Pepsi Max, I would make it really, really cheap. Like 30p a bottle or something ridiculous like that. Yep that would make Mr Pepsi Max unhappy, but needs must.

Attractions over the world like theme parks and whatnot would offer a student discount. I have found that having not major amounts of money is affecting my summer, with me having to borrow money or just have to say no to things I really want to do. Disney World should do student discounts also, do you not think? Maybe a student discount on holidays? Too many discounts.

Prescriptions for EVERYTHING would be free. I dislike the fact that I am having to pay for my hay fever tablets (which essentially keep me alive at times). I didn't ask to have hay fever, so why should I have to pay for them? I miss the times when I was 18 and had free prescriptions.

I would make it my priority to sort out this shitty economy. It is in one hell of a state, and someone really needs to hop to it. Hopefully it won't have to wait for me to take over the world for this to happen....

In relation to this....the UK needs someone like Obama to come along and sort everyone out. He doesn't take any shit, and he then gets shit done. That really does need to happen here, people...Then again, I'm not politician, so what do I know?

I'd also chuck some more funding in to youth rehabilitation. Considering the biggest cuts in 2015-2016 are going to the Ministry of Justice, this is an area that is most likely to be affected. That is really bad because I think it is one of the most important areas in the criminal justice system. I am not being biased because this is the area I want to work in either!!

Then I would give more options for students to get more opportunities. Like things such as working abroad, travelling, stuff like that. It is something that I really want to do, but I just feel like it is going to be years before I can even think about doing it. Then if I get a job I won't be able to give it up to go travelling as I won't get another job for a very long time after that. Sad times.

Everyone should be a Harry Potter fan. That would be something I would introduce!
