The Tea Monologues | Universal Studios Orlando

Universal Studios is the place to go if you love all things movies!

From the moment you see that little (big) globe you are fully immersed in the feel of the movies.

It's not every day you bump into Marilyn Monroe on the streets, is it?

Now this was the first time I have ever been on the Transformers Ride as it was only in the planning stages when I was last there.

We walked straight on and was instantly shoved straight into it when the guys working asked us to show them our war faces!

I was pleasantly surprised with the ride. It takes on the same format as the Spider-Man ride at Islands of Adventure. Even as someone who isn't particularly interested in The Transformers, I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed this ride.

Men in Black, as always, was awesome. I forgot how much it spins you around, and actually found myself holding on in parts. However, it could do with a little bit of an update, but I shan't be complaining.

Never know, they might recruit me soon.

The last time I was in Orlando, Springfield consisted only of The Simpsons Ride.

The Simpson's Ride was fantastic back in its day, and the screen gives IMAX a run for its money! Yet I can't help the comparison with Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. It's still a good ride all in all.

The Kwik-E-Mart still has the best selection of merchandise, with the addition of a Flaming Moe!

I only had a quick walk around inside the Springfield eating area. The Krusty Burger's looked so good! Inside this eating area are a selection of different Simpson's themed places. It is pretty awesome, and I am hoping when I get back there I can have more of a peruse.

I love Back to the Future, so this little corner of the park is absolutely awesome. I do wish they would bring back some more Back To the Future experience.

I bumped into Doc Brown whilst I was there too!

I have always liked ET. However, I think this ride has either run its course or needs a huge overhaul. This really disappoints me to say because it's such a clever ride.

ET doesn't even say everyone's names any more :(

Scooby-Doo, where are you?!

I was absolutely gutted that Rip Ride Rockit was shut on the one day I was at Universal! But from what I can remember it is a good roller coaster with a non-inverting loop, and I was gutted to not listen to some music whilst zooming around.

This was also the first time I have been on the Mummy roller coaster. It had a 15 minute wait so we went for it. Although it would appear it was only 15 minutes because of how long it takes to walk through the queue. We got straight on.

I managed to get a front row seat! It was very clever with the inclusion of special effects and scenery.

I managed to get onto Disaster in one of the last few days of it being open. You can now see why they are closing this attraction to pave the way for something new. It was becoming a little drawn out, and the special effects just weren't on par with some of the newer technology. It had a good run and I am excited to see what is replacing it.

What a view into Islands of Adventure!

Follow me next time on a trip to Islands of Adventure!

The Tea Monologues | Disney's Epcot

Epcot has to be my favourite Disney World park. I love the contrasts between Future World and World Showcase.

There is a little for everyone, from big thrill rides, to smaller flat rides, and a nice stroll around the world - all in one park!

You must admit the setting for Spaceship Earth is still spectacular - especially in golden hour!

The fountain behind Spaceship Earth is actually a show! It plays very Disney style music and the jets dance along. It looks very pretty in the early evening when it begins to be lit.

Club Cool is a new discovery for me, thanks to SeeYaReelSoon on YouTube. We always have by-passed it thinking it was just another place to get a drink.

Club Cool is actually sponsored by Coca-Cola! Inside you can try different sodas from around the world, all for free!

I dare you to try Beverly!

This is the first time I have been on the newly revamped Test Track - it was previously presented by General Motors and was slightly different to this version.

It definitely was the modernisation it needed! It reminds me slightly of Tron. I quite like the new bit when you design your own car to go against the new tests. It is quite a good way of staggering the queues.

Talking of queues, it seems to be a much quicker queue line. We queued as every time we used our FastPass the ride was shut down due to "inclement weather". The wait time was 65 minutes but we queued no longer than 30!

I adore the Finding Nemo pavilion. I have seen it as both The Seas with Nemo and Friends, and as The Living Seas.

I love how it brings the story to life!

This is the only good picture I took of the ride! I love how it crosses over with Animal Kingdom's Finding Nemo: The Musical with the final song in the ride.

We actually managed to see some of the divers this time.

Next to (sort of) the Nemo pavilion is Journey into Imagination where you can find Figment!

Kids (and big kids) enjoy this ride, and it is pretty good for a quick sit down to escape the heat!

The queue line is really cute with the posters below of the 3 professors. Later on you walk past their offices - look out for Flubber!

I do love Figment!

On the outside of the Imagination pavilion is a fountain that flows upwards! It looks particularly dazzling at night when it is all lit up.

I found a teeny tiny little frog on the sign for The Land pavilion.

Inside The Land you can find rides such as Sorain', but my particular favourite is Living with the Land.

Fun fact: I once met Santa Claus in the queue for this ride. He had an official ID and everything!

Over in World Showcase there is a teeny hidden ride in Mexico! No one seems to know about it, and I have never waited to get on it!

I am still absolutely gutted they have closed down Maelstrom! For all of you who may not know, they are converting it to a Frozen ride.

Luckily, the waterfall is still there. What is now boarded up used to be a part where your Maelstrom boat would point out before going backwards!

There are some really great replicas of significant landmarks from all around the world throughout World Showcase.

A lot of people seem to not bother with World Showcase. There are a lot of awesome shops, hidden character meet and greets, and some great photo opportunities.

If you still aren't interested, you can try to either eat or drink around the world!

On the way out I made friends with a squirrel.

So that was a walk around Walt Disney World's Epcot.

Tell me below in the comments what your favourite part of Epcot is.

Have you ever eaten or drank around the world at World Showcase?

The Tea Monologues | Disney's Magic Kingdom

It is known for being the happiest place on earth where dreams come true, and I simply must agree.

Walking in to Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom is like stepping right in to a fairytale. Everything is all lights, and amazing smells, and perfect buildings.

And then you look up and smack bam right in front of you there it is..The fairytale princess castle every (not so) little girl wanted.

So let me waltz you through the Magic Kingdom. Together we can battle pirates (although not this time because it was closed), wave to princesses, and dine like royalty! All of this whilst traipsing around in 98 degree heat...let's do this!

Let's start off with breakfast in this gorgeous place.

This is New Fantasyland's new restaurant, Be Our Guest. It is really difficult to get a reservation here, but I managed to get three separate reservations the night before! It is so pretty, and the food is really good.

Now we are nice and full from breakfast, lets head on over to Tomorrowland - possibly my most favourite land in all of Magic Kingdom.

Although maybe not the best idea right after breakfast, there's nothing like a journey into space on Space Mountain to kick your day off. Don't forget your photo at the end!

Right across the street is Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin where we can check in with Star Command for a quick meet up with Buzz to defeat the evil emperor Zurg!

Turns out Buzz quite likes me. Then it's time to hop on the Peoplemover or the Carousel of Progress for a sit down (or a nap...).

Then it is only a short walk over to Fantasyland, where you can see the new expansion of New Fantasyland. Here you can see classics such as Peter Pan, it's a small world, and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Now you can see some newer additions such as The Journey of the Little Mermaid and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!

On the way over to Frontierland and Adventureland you can visit Master Gracie and the 999 happy haunts who live in the Haunted Mansion. Don't forget your death certificate!

On my way over to Frontierland I spotted this little guy. Bit of a cutie, but he was being guarded by some Cast Members! See if you can spot any Disney animals outside of the Jungle Cruise - they're a rare sight!

Now we are in Frontierland let's jump on the wildest ride in the wilderness on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and go find our laughing place on Splash Mountain. Doing Splash then Thunder might mean you dry off a little bit! Or if you're a bit of a daredevil, see how many times you can do both mountains! I took on the challenge of doing all 4 mountains in an hour - completed!

Now can also be a good time for a sit down, and Frontierland has a stop for the Walt Disney World Railroad. Don't worry, this one isn't like Thunder Mountain!

We watched the Festival of Fantasy parade from both Liberty Square and Mainstreet USA - both had great views! If you have little ones you might benefit better from Liberty Square as there are less people and they can stand better at the front!

I think it might be time for a quick stop off at Adventureland for the Magic Carpets of Aladdin and a walk up the Swiss Family Tree House. You get some pretty good views at the top of the tree house for all of you looking for a good photo.

After a long day of running around Magic Kingdom like maniacs, it's time to head back over to Tomorrowland for dinner at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. It's a nice little quick service place, and I would recommend sitting in the main lounge and watching Sonny Eclipse!

By now it'll probably start to get dark, and there's quite a nice view from Cosmic Ray's. The picture of Cinderella's Castle at the start was also taken from here!

It'll soon be time for the Mainstreet Electrical Parade! Although you can get a brilliant view on Mainstreet, I like to go over the bridge towards Liberty Square and Adventureland. There is a little spot by some drinking fountains facing the bridge as it goes over it. It's a nice spot, and not many people seem to go over that way!

Although this is a nice spot for the parade, I would recommend getting in front of the castle for the Celebrate the Magic and the Wishes fireworks. Although Liberty Square is also a good spot for the fireworks, and I have watched them from my bus stop to go back to my hotel before!

So now you've spent a whole day in Magic Kingdom. If you're lucky enough it might be open until 11pm, or you might even have Extra Magic Hours until 2am! Or you can go back, lay down on your bed, and sleep for several days!

Please also know that these photos are in no way conclusive of the scale of Magic Kingdom - there are loads more I have but this post was ridiculously long as it is! Stay tuned for diaries from the other Disney parks as well as Universal Studios!

As always thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoyed this picture filled diary through an entire day at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom!

Let me know in the comments your favourite parts of the Magic Kingdom!

Have a lovely day and I will speak to you again soon!
