Summer Staple Item | ad

I am always on the hunt for a new summer wardrobe - although this has been put on halt for a few years whilst I have been at university (and put on far too much weight). However, my prayers have been answered thanks to Eles Clothing!

Eles Clothing is a wholesale retailer who supplies the newest fashion from the United Kingdom. They have not just women's, but men and children's and also accessories. The brands range from Next, Top Shop, Laura Ashley, Jane Norman and many more.

You can find them on their blog, Facebook, and Twitter.

Apologies for some changes in light - the clouds had a mind of their own today!

I searched through their catalogue and found the most amazing top to base my summer wardrobe on. I primarily wear black leggings because they go with everything, and they hide my legs (until I get my ass to the gym next month, anyway). Due to this, I won't include any picture of me with it on because of a simple lack of body confidence.

I have to say, I couldn't be happier with it. The material is lovely; it flows in all the right ways and doesn't cling to my body in unflattering ways. It is also long enough that it covers my bum in leggings!

The spaghetti straps are adjustable, so you can have the top as high or as low as you prefer. I personally go for a slightly lower placement, just because I cover my legs (remember, legs or cleavage!).

I love, love, love, the pattern. The floral pattern is quite in this summer (I think...) and can liven up any block colour. As I said before, I wear this with black leggings, but it could go with any teal, black, or white colours.

I usually shy away from patterned tops myself, but I thought I would take a risk...and it really paid off.

This is something I will be wearing all summer - look out for it when I post my Disney World vlogs!

I would 100% recommend this company for online clothes shopping. They updated me continually with my item, told me when it would be delivered, and reminded me on the day that it would be arriving. The staff were incredibly friendly, and no question is too big. I would love to work with this company again; I couldn't be happier with them!

Safe to say I will be shopping with them again.

Have a look through their catalogue and tell me what your favourite item is in the comments below.

Makeup overload - beauty haul

Hello there, buddies!

Well I apologise that I haven't been very active recently. I had several posts planned for today, but I badly burned my hand yesterday at work and was confined to sitting still and not moving it so blogging was off the cards. I am managing a little better today but it is still very painful - it took over 24 hours for it to finally stop burning through my hand, so that was fun. But I am here now and on the mend!

Anyways, today I went shopping after I came in to a little bit of money the other day so I thought I should treat myself to some makeup considering I haven't really got myself anything in over a year. So I spent £60. Yep, £60.

I thought it would be nice for me to share my purchases with you guys as some of them I would seriously recommend to you! I am taking inspiration from Tanya Burr and Sprinkelofglitter for this one, so go check out their blogs and YouTube channels to see more of them!

I literally went to three stores - Boots, Superdrug and Body Care (a small cheap shop for beauty products). I dislike shopping so like to get in to town, then get out ASAP.

Some of these products are normal bog-standard brands, but then I treated myself and got a couple of high-end bits, too!

First of all we shall start with Body Care, I think. I went in to this shop looking simply for some new brushes as several of mine have basically died over the last few days. But I came out £15 down.

The first thing I got was a new set of eyelash curlers. Mine fell apart on me this morning *sniff sniff* so I was in dire need of some new ones. This is the one problem with having really long eyelashes is that if they don't get curled, they'll end up in your eyes like mine do. So I have no choice but to use them! These were the best ones that I found, and they are quite cheap so definitely affordable for any of you guys with no money! I saw some in Boots that ranged from £5 to £15, but I don't need crazy expensive ones, so I went for these.
Technic eyelash curlers, £1.25

Next I got some new hairspray! I haven't used hairspray for years really, but it is always nice to have some. Especially when I go back down to university and am out all the time - it would be nice to have good looking hair at the end of the night, too! This hairspray claims to hold for 24 hours which is exactly what I needed. I haven't used this one before as I tend to just buy a cheap one in the hope it will work, so fingers crossed!
Schwarzkopf got2be happy hour hairspray, £2.79

I picked up one of these mini powder brush things just so that I can quickly chuck some powder on my face before I pop out so I can keep my foundation in place! It was really cheap as I don't need a proper brush for this so was definitely a good find.
Body collection dumpy brush, £1.09

I have been after some salt spray for ages so took the chance to grab this one! Salt spray is good for hair to get that beach waves sort of thing - which is a look I love - and my hair doesn't curl very well with straighteners or curlers, so I am going to give this a go and see how it ends up. This is only a cheap one, too.

Derma V10 salt spray, £1.49

The last things I got in Body Care were my trusty two favourite products in the entire world - I literally struggle to live without these two. They are makeup remover and moisturiser by Simple. Their products are amazing so if you don't use them you definitely should. They are perfect for sensitive skin, which I don't have but their products leave my skin almost perfect at the end. Definitely give these a go if you don't already and I can pretty much promise you that you will love them.

Simple eye makeup remover, £2.19

Simple hydrating light moisturiser, £2.19

After this I headed on over to Boots. For all of you who live outside the UK, boots is the typical drugstore style shop in the UK and has pretty much anything in it.

The first thing I got was this mascara by 17. This is a brand by Boots and is generally really good! My last mascara was by 17 and I loved it. The brushes are really good too. I don't like those plastic ones, but this one has a normal wand on it which is really good. They also last a long time and don't dry up, so go check them out.

17 blow out volumising mascara, £6.29

I then picked up this lipstick by Kate Moss spring collection for Rimmel. This one is in the shade 16 (not sure it has a name...). I absolutely love it! It is a pinky colour which looks gorgeous on and really goes well with my skin tone, I think. It comes in 4 other shades which you can see by clicking on the link above. The Kate Moss lipsticks are all lush, and go on really well too. They aren't like other lipsticks which can get really sticky and not as nice when you put them on, but this glides on well.

Kate Moss lipstick, £5.49

I also needed some new foundation, and the likes of Tanya Burr and Zoella always seem to be recommending the Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation. So I took advice from the pros and got some! I am yet to try this but I got it in the shade Soft Beige and it matches by skin tone almost perfectly (I have a weird skin tone and never seem to get a foundation that matches it). I am very trusting of Rimmel, and would love to buy the whole collection, so I am thinking it will be good!

Rimmel wake me up foundation, £8.99

This is where I went slightly nuts and made a major makeup purchase. As a rule I don't buy high-end stuff as it is far too expensive for my budget, but today I made an exception. I spent about 40 minutes hunting for a highlighter as I stole my mum's one recently. It would appear that no one in Boots sells one - I know NARS does one but I couldn't find a NARS stand anywhere. I then looked at Benefit which has a sort of highlighter-style thing, but then came across this one by Too Faced. They are quite an expensive brand, but I had to. The beads in it blend together so well to create such a nice colour.

Too Faced sweetheart beads glow powder, £26.

Finally, I went to Superdrug which is like Boots for all of my non-UK readers!

The first thing I picked up was this eye shadow palette by Beauty UK. This one caught my eye because I love the natural colours in it (this is in Eden) and the fact that some of them are in a matt finish, whereas others are shimmery. They are quite cheap, too, and brand new out! Take a look at the various colours they have!
Beauty UK posh palette, £5.99

Then I picked up my trusty powder that I use to set my foundation. This one is by Collection and is a budget makeup brand, but the quality is still really good. Every girl should have some of their products in their handbag. Not sure what shade this is in, but it blends well with my foundation!
Collection pressed powder, £1.99

I also picked up this concealer by Makeup Academy. It has several different shades in it so I can make the perfect shade for my skin tone! Also I have quite dark circles under my eyes so the lighter colour can cover those up so easily. This comes in several different shades, too, so you can get them to match your skin colour!

Makeup Academy concealer palette, £3.50

The final thing I picked up was also from Makeup Academy and is this new gel liner! I have always used a liquid one, so I am quite looking forward to trying this gel one. They have had some good reviews so I can't wait to give it a go!

Makeup Academy gel liner, £3.00

So that is everything I picked up today on my little shopping trip. I am now back to having no money.

If you can recommend any other products that you use and think I might like, then leave them in the comments below as I am always looking to expand my makeup bag!

I hate shopping

Hello there, buddies!

Welcome to today's rant about the fact that I strongly dislike shopping. Yes, yes I know you are shocked to hear this from a girl, but I dislike fashion and shopping and all that shit. The only time that I find shopping relatively enjoyable is if I know that I need to go to one shop and I can get home.

I warn you now, this rant could get slightly out of hand and very extensive, so if you are easily offended or bored please look away now!

First of all, I would like to discuss the fact that I dislike trying things on, and fitting rooms in general. I really really do not like the fact that I have to change out of my clothes, as I spend a relatively long time in the morning putting my clothes on, doing my hair, and doing my make up. I  just literally cannot explain it. Having to change out of my normal clothes that I am already wearing to have to temporarily try on something, look in the mirror and take it off again. I just find this all very inconvenient and unnecessary. I find this more annoying in cheaper shops like Primark (no offence, Primark, I love you lots) as their changing rooms are not in the best of nick, and they just feel slightly gross. In comparison, there are changing rooms in shops like Next which are really quite nice, but I still find them so irritating. I have also found that not many changing rooms have stools/benches/seats for you to sit on when trying on certain items of clothing (e.g. jeans/bottoms). I don't know about you, but being able to sit down in something, especially skinny jeans, is very important. This then means that you have to either try and balance against the wall, or sit your ass on the floor....so unhygienic. It has been brought to my attention (by Vikki), that when she was in the changing rooms of a certain high street store, there was a significant amount of chewing gum stuck the the sides of a mirror....how bloody gross do people want to get?! There are a million bins all around places for you to put your gum, so why the fuck would you stick it to a mirror? Classy. I also get really agitated and irritated when someone makes me try something on. I don't know, maybe I am just a bit of a failure of a girl, or I have some genetic unbalance or something?

Then there is the issue of shop assistants. In my experience I have found that they go either way: they can be either very helpful, or they can simply not give a shit. I find it more annoying when they care too much, is that weird? I really dislike someone bugging me when I am in a store, simply because it means that I have to prolong my stay in a shop. Bleh. Whereas if they don't give a shit, it means you get get your stuff and go. So much easier. I am starting to think that I am really really weird....Does this apply to anyone else?

I now want to talk about clothes. Is it me or are they getting really skimpy and cheap looking? What happened to the good ol' days when the cardigans were full length, and the dresses didn't have the sides cut out of them? No offence to anyone who wears them as they look good on someone with a good figure. However, I am not a girl with a traditional good figure, and they just don't work on me. Also, fashion these days is just so beyond weird, but that is a conversation for a different day. I find that cheaper shops (I am a student, I cannot afford bloody Chanel) their stock can be awesome one day, then in a few weeks it all goes to shit? What is with that?!

Now comes a moment when I sympathise with men. Carrying bags is a bitch. I have been shopping with friends who have come out of shops £80 down with like 19308219 bags attached to their arms. There has only been once circumstance in my entire life when I have left town with more than 5 bags, and that was simply because I am getting far too fat and needed to get new summer clothes. I really hate it when I have more than 2 bags stuck in my hands or arms - they just get far too inconvenient. I find this occurs in other shops as you end up bumping into mannequins, people or stands. There have been numerous occasions where I have been on the receiving end of a bitch glare from someone I have hit with my bag. They also dig in to your hands and cut off the blood circulation, then you end up getting that horrible fuzzy feeling. It is so not worth it! If shopping is done online you don't have to carry any of that shit!

Also, it is me or are clothes literally quadrupling in price? There was a day not long ago when I could walk in to Primark, spend £15, and come out with like 5 new outfits. Now, I can't go in there and spend less than that on ONE outfit! Other shops, which were already way too expensive for my tiny budget, have doubled in price. Looks like I will be living off of charity shops soon.

I am also getting very irritated with the sizing of clothes. Like most girls, I get quite upset if i am over a certain size - yes I can be typically girly sometimes, shocking I know. Cheaper shops, I find, have dodgy sizing and I can go from like a 14 in one shop, to a 10 in another. It is a good day for everyone if I come out of a shop with a size 10, but as soon as I end up being a 14 we need to go home. Please can we not just have some universal size for every shop?! Please?!

Then there is the issue of mirrors. They are EVERYWHERE. I am one of those annoying girls who finds it necessary to check to see if my hair looks OK whenever I see a mirror. But then it works the other way as some mirrors make girls look bad, whereas others make a girl look pretty good. Not cool, dude.

And for my final point, I would like to talk about snooty bitches who judge you based on what shop you walk in to, and what outfit you buy. This annoys me immensely as I don't give a fuck about what other people think, but as soon as someone gives you that bitchy glare and looks you up and down, I want to hit them square between the eyes. Does this happen to any of you, or do I just have some bad temper issues?

OK, I am going to stop this rant now as I could go on forever.

10 ways how to procrastinate like a pro

Hello there, buddies!

If you know me you will know that I am extremely good at procrastinating. I also always fall to doing my work the last minute after procrastinating for about 2 months then panicking. I am pretty sure this applies more to uni students, but I did this at A Level also, and it could apply to GCSE's; listen up kiddies! So without further ado here are my awesome 10 ways how I procrastinate.

1. Sit down to do work, write the title, have a break.
I am guilty of doing this. All the time. I always get the motivation to do my work then sit down to do it, write only the title and poof, motivation gone. I have no idea why this happens but it always does. Then I do it consistently for 6 weeks then realise that my essay is due in the next day. Then do it again for a few hours and then finally write it.

2. Tidy your entire room, including your wardrobe (even if it is spotless).
Yes, I do this also. My room is usually relatively tidy, but when I have work to do it looks as if a bomb has hit it. I will find any little tiny thing to tidy - including the pins on my pin board. Then I will go through my entire wardrobe sorting it out in a bid to make everything tidier. Gah this sounds like I have OCD - I don't. Deary me. I need a life.

3. Watch an entire TV series.
Last time I needed to do an essay I ended up watching an entire season of Man V Food. Then True Blood. Then Desperate Housewives. Then realised that I should do some work. But didn't do work - oopsie. I also stopped watching Eastenders in a bid to stop doing work, but now I actually like it and I still watch it. Oh well. This way has probably been the reason that I didn't do as well as I could have done on a couple of my essays. So I would recommend that you do this one carefully, haha!

4. Have a nap.
Yup, you read that right. Grab some shut eye! Even if this is a good method of procrastination it can actually help. I know, I am actually trying to help now! Sleep can help refresh your brain which means that you might actually be able to write your essay when you wake up.

5. Browse the internet.
Another one which I fall victim to all the time. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Daily Mail, 9gag, BBC iplayer - all reasons why I don't ever get anything done. It's all technology's fault. Stupid modern times. Stupid brain getting sidetracked by everything.

6. Start a blog.
I started my original blog (on Walt Disney World in Florida) as a means of procrastination. I spent like hours a day doing research for it - I still do with this blog, but it requires slightly less research. Starting a blog is also a great way to let off steam. I know what the first year can be like; new home, new people, stress of living on your own bla bla bla. So you can write all your feelings down on a blog and feel so much better about it! Just try not to let it get too much in the way of your work, because you won't get anywhere if you don't try!

7. Download a new app and play it for hours.
This happened to me and Temple Run 2, Fruit Ninja and Fall Down 2. Jeez, they are so addictive. Well done, app creators. This can be seriously bad, as you can see. I played Temple Run 2 continuously for like 2 hours 4 days before my essay was due in. Whoops. Don't follow in my footsteps, dudes.

8. Organise your work.
I know that both Vikki and I do this. When our final essays were due in, our work was in a much better condition and was all filed away than what it had been throughout the entire year. That is awful, isn't it?....Wow. This procrastination tip can work both ways: it means that you aren't doing your work, but you are organising it at the same time. Yay!

9. Go shopping, buy a new video game, play it for hours.
Two tips in one here, dudes. Going shopping is a great break, but a great procrastination tip. I did this, then went to buy a new game (in the form of Roller Coaster Tycoon 3) and then continued to play it for about 12 hours before realising I had an essay due in. Genius, Danielle, absolutely wonderful. I still managed to get the work done though. Impressed? You should be,

10. Panic about not having done your work.
I have been victim to doing all of these in one go, then done this one right at the end. This is the worst one I think. It means that your brain goes into "holy shit" mode and you will never get anywhere and will never get anything done. So try and chill, buddies.

Having now said this, I am shocked I passed my first year....
